Privacy policy

Here's what the quote form collects, who sees it, and how to ask us to delete it.

Last updated 30 September 2026

This policy covers the information this website collects, what it is used for, and what you can ask us to do with it.

In this policy, "we" and "us" mean Gold Coast Bathroom Co. All building work is carried out by Faulkner Building Group under QBCC licence 15535467.

  1. 01 What we collect

Only what you enter in the quote form: your name, phone number, email address and suburb, plus what you tell us about the job, which is what you're renovating, your rough budget, where you're at with it, when you'd like to start, and any note you add.

The form doesn't ask for your date of birth, your street address, or any payment or identity document. We don't collect what the Privacy Act calls sensitive information, such as your health, religion or criminal record, so please don't send it to us.

  2. 02 Why we collect it

To call or email you back about the bathroom you have described, and to pass your enquiry to Faulkner Building Group, who measures up, prices the job and does the work if you go ahead.

Your details don't go onto a marketing list and we don't send unsolicited email.

  3. 03 Who else sees it

Your enquiry goes to Faulkner Building Group, who uses your details to contact you about your job.

Enquiries are sent by email, and may be kept in the system we use to manage enquiries so none goes missing. Those providers, and the company that hosts this site, hold your enquiry only to provide that service, and some of them store data outside Australia, including in the United States.

If the job goes ahead, the tradespeople working on it see only what they need, such as your name, your phone number and the written list of work.

We don't sell your information and we don't hand it to anyone for their own marketing.

  4. 04 Cookies and tracking

This site sets no advertising cookies and runs no cross-site tracking scripts.

The server keeps ordinary request logs, which record things like the address a request came from and the page it asked for. They are used to keep the site working and to see if it is being attacked.

  5. 05 How long we keep it

An enquiry that doesn't turn into a job is deleted once there's no longer any point following it up.

If the job goes ahead, Faulkner Building Group keeps its own records of the work for as long as building and tax law require.

  6. 06 How it is held

Enquiries travel over an encrypted connection and are held in accounts that need a password to open.

If your information is ever lost or seen by someone who shouldn't see it, and that's likely to cause you serious harm, we'll tell you and the regulator.

  7. 07 Seeing it, fixing it, deleting it

Get in touch and ask. You can ask what we hold about you, ask us to correct it, or ask us to delete it, and there is no charge for asking.

If we can't do what you've asked, we'll tell you why.

  8. 08 The law this sits under

We follow the Australian Privacy Principles, which are part of the Privacy Act 1988, the federal privacy law.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your information, tell us first and give us a chance to fix it. If that does not resolve it, the Office of the Australian Information Commissioner takes complaints at oaic.gov.au.

If there’s anything here you’d like explained, get in touch and ask.
