We renovate ensuites right across the Gold Coast and into the Northern Rivers. An ensuite is a small room doing a lot of work, so the setout matters more than it does anywhere else in the house. Where the door swings, where the screen opens and where the floor falls all have to agree with each other.
We resolve all of that on a drawing first, then build to it. You'll see the layout and the finishes before anything is ordered.

Set out first
The room is drawn to the millimetre before anything is ordered.
One crew through the house
The same team from strip-out to fit-off, and they clean up daily.
Certified waterproofing
Applied to AS 3740, the wet-area standard, with the certificate at handover.

What’s included
This is the work we take care of on every job, and you’ll have it in writing before we start.
Tiles, stone, tapware and joinery are chosen with you during the design stage, and priced once you’ve settled on them. That way you’re choosing what you actually want rather than working back from a list.

Every stage happens in this order, and you’ll know which one you’re in and what comes next.
We measure the room and draw it before anything comes out. In a space this size a hundred millimetres decides whether a door clears a towel rail, so it gets settled while it's still a line on a drawing.
The old room comes out and the new plumbing and electrical go in. Ensuites often back onto a bedroom wall, so we'll agree with you beforehand how we protect the room next door.
The membrane goes on and is certified. Small rooms have proportionally more corners and junctions than large ones, and those are exactly where the detailing has to be right.
Floors are screeded to fall, then tiled from the drawing. The screen is measured after tiling so it fits the room as it was actually built.
The joinery goes in, then the fixtures and finishes you chose. Then we water-test, walk you through it and clean up.
Finishes and materials
Keeping the floor visible under the vanity makes a small room read as larger. It also makes it much easier to clean around.
Fewer grout lines make a small ensuite feel less busy. We'll show you the setout so you can see where the cuts will land before you choose a size.
A frameless panel keeps the sightline open across the room. Where the opening won't allow one, a semi-frameless screen does the same job with a slimmer frame.
A properly sized exhaust matters more in a small room than a large one, and a heated towel rail does as much for damp as it does for comfort.
Common questions
Sometimes, and it depends on the floor area and where the drainage runs. We'll show you the layout options at the measure and be straight with you about what the room can take.
Usually, yes, since that's how most ensuites are reached. We protect the floor and the path in, cover what needs covering, and clean up at the end of each day.
Yes. If you'd like the two rooms to read as a pair we'll work from the same finishes schedule, and if you'd rather they were different we'll design them that way.
