What this website is, what it is not, and how a price actually gets set. It is short, and it is in plain words.

These terms apply to this website. They are not the terms of a building job, which live in the written scope and the contract for that job.
If anything here conflicts with a contract you have signed, the contract wins.
In these terms, "we" and "us" mean Gold Coast Bathroom Co, the owner of this website.
01 What this site is
Gold Coast Bathroom Co doesn't hold a building licence. All building work is carried out by Faulkner Building Group under QBCC licence 15535467, and is subject to that company's own terms and refund policies.
The rest of it is general information about bathroom renovation work on the Gold Coast and in the Northern Rivers, written so you understand what a job involves before you ring anyone.
It is not advice about your house, your floor or your plumbing. Nobody can give you that without standing in the room.
02 Nothing here is a quote
No page on this site is an offer, a quote or a price you can hold us to. Where a page describes what moves a cost, it is describing an influence, not naming a figure.
A price exists once we have measured the room and put a written scope in front of you.
That written scope, and the contract that follows it, are the only documents that set what the work is and what it costs.
03 About the photographs
The photographs on this site illustrate the type of work each page describes. They are not presented as a portfolio of jobs completed by this business.
As this business's own completed work is photographed it replaces the illustrations, and this note changes with it.
04 Standards we name
Where this site refers to AS 3740, it means the Australian Standard for waterproofing of domestic wet areas, as it applies at the time the work is carried out.
Naming a standard describes how the work is done. It is not a certification issued by this website.
05 Licence and credentials
Building work is carried out under QBCC licence 15535467, which is held by Faulkner Building Group. The licence is a public record you can check on the QBCC register before you sign anything.
Any licence, registration or membership named on this site belongs to Faulkner Building Group, not to Gold Coast Bathroom Co.
06 Content and copyright
The text, images, drawings and layout of this site belong to Gold Coast Bathroom Co or are used with permission.
You may read it, print it and quote a short passage with a link back. You may not republish it as your own.
07 Availability
We try to keep this site up and correct, and we do not promise it will never be down or never contain a mistake.
If you spot something on here that is wrong, tell us and we will fix it.
08 Links to other sites
Where we link somewhere else, that site is not ours and we do not control what it says.
09 Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of Queensland, Australia.
Nothing in them limits any right you have under the Australian Consumer Law, which cannot be excluded.
