The homes here
Most of the valley is timber houses on large blocks, many of them raised, with the bathroom sitting over a subfloor rather than on a slab. That makes the plumbing easier to move than it is down on the coast, and it makes the waterproofing more exacting, because a timber floor moves and a membrane has to be detailed for it.
A lot of valley properties run on rainwater and an on-site septic or treatment system. That does not change the bathroom, but it changes what you should put in it: pressure, pump capacity and how much water a new shower head actually uses all matter more here than they do on town supply.

Where we work
We work the whole valley, from the bottom near Currumbin Creek up past the school, and across to Tallebudgera Valley. Currumbin, Palm Beach and Elanora are all fifteen minutes down the hill.

Common questions
Much the same as down on the coast for the room itself, with a little more for access if the driveway is long or steep. We look at the driveway at the measure, because that is the valley-specific part of the number and it should be in the quote, not a surprise.
It changes what is sensible rather than what is possible. Water-efficient outlets and the right pump make far more difference here than on town supply, and an oversized rain shower on a tank is a decision people regret in a dry spring.
The membrane is the same standard, AS 3740, but the detailing matters more. A timber floor flexes, so the sheeting has to be fixed properly and every junction filleted, or the membrane cracks where the floor moves. We flood test before tiling either way.
Yes, noticeably. Being able to get under the floor means moving a waste is a straightforward job rather than a slab cut, so layouts that would be expensive down on the coast are often affordable up here.
That is exactly what we check at the measure. If it cannot, we barrow or use a smaller vehicle and we price that in. It is far better sorted before the first delivery than with a truck stopped halfway up.
