The homes here
Most of Coomera went up from the two-thousands on, so the houses are not old but the bathrooms are dated rather than damaged. The build quality is usually sound, which means the job is about layout and finish rather than repair, and that makes the money go further than it does in an older house.
Two-storey is the norm here, so the main bathroom and the ensuite are usually both upstairs. That changes the waterproofing more than anything else: a first-floor wet area is the one place a membrane failure ends up in the ceiling below, so it is flood tested rather than assumed.

Common questions
Coomera houses are newer, so there is usually less hidden repair in the number and more of it goes into what you can see. The variables are the tiling area, the joinery and whether anything moves. The measure is free and the quote is in writing.
Not at all, and it is often the best time. Nothing has failed yet, so you are buying a better room rather than paying to fix a bad one, and a newer house rarely holds the surprises an older one does.
To AS 3740, the same as a ground floor room, and then flood tested before a single tile goes down. Upstairs is exactly where a membrane has to be proven rather than trusted.
Yes, and in a two storey house it makes obvious sense. One strip-out, one waterproofing visit and one tiler covers both rooms, and the upstairs is disrupted once rather than twice.
Usually not for an internal bathroom, since covenants deal with what the street sees. If your estate has trade hours or a contractor sign-in we will work to them, and we will check before day one rather than on it.
